Suryakumar Yadav was the wrecker in chief where the right-handed batter scored 112 runs in 51 balls where he smashed 7 fours & 9 sixes.
The island nation would be crestfallen as their batters didn’t put up a fight. There were huge expectations from Charith Asalanka but the batter couldn’t make an impact. If Dasun Shanaka could have bowled a couple of overs then it could have made a difference in the target.

Salman Butt on Suryakumar Yadav
Salman Butt was speaking on his YouTube channel and made some interesting comments on Suryakumar Yadav. “I was reading everywhere that he came to international cricket when he was over 30. I just thought he’s lucky that he is Indian. If he was in Pakistan, he would’ve been victim to the over-30 policy (there have been reports that the Ramiz Raja-led PCB didn’t allow players who are 30 or above to join the national team),” said Salman Butt.

“Those who are in the team, they are fine. Those who aren’t on the team, don’t have a chance. Suryakumar broke into the team when he was 30. So, his case is different. The fitness, the batting reflexes, the batting maturity… it’s like he already knows what the bowlers are going to bowl.” he added.
Delight for India
This is said to be the beginning of a new era under the skipper Hardik Pandya. Pandya would be delighted as the team showed great fighting spirit after getting defeated in the 2nd T20I match. The management would be happy the way Rahul Tripathi batted as he smashed a breezy cameo of 35 runs in 16 balls where he struck 5 fours and 2 sixes.
It won’t be wrong to say that Axar Patel has become a 3 format player for the team. The all-rounder has shown great control over his line & length when he bowls wicket to wicket. The way he thrashed Wanindu Hasaranga in the 2nd T20I match was a treat to watch where the all-rounder now has given India an option in the middle order.
