Indian Cricket Team sealed the ODI Series against Sri Lanka. The Men in Blue won the 2nd ODI match by 4 wickets where the hosts chased down the target of 216 runs with more than 6 overs left. KL Rahul was the stand-out batter where he scored 64 runs in 103 balls where he smashed 6 fours and was in complete control of the match.
Sri Lanka would be dejected as once again their batters let them down. The debutant Nuwanidu Fernando struck a half-century where the rest of the batters couldn’t convert their starts. Kuldeep Yadav was the wrecker in chief where he took 3 scalps for 51 runs in his 10 overs.

Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka was quite spot-on with his captaincy where he rotated his bowlers quite smartly and made the target look tougher. Another 50 runs would have made the contest spicier as at one stage India were in a spot of bother at 86-4.
Dasun Shanaka had a rare off day where the right-handed batter scored 2 runs in 4 balls when he was foxed by Kuldeep Yadav. Shanaka would be considering batting up the order in the 3rd ODI because the likes of Charith Asalanka are not performing according to their credentials.

Not enough runs on the board- Dasun Shanaka
During post match presentation, Dasun Shanaka was asked about the match. “Not enough runs on the board. We got a good start with the bat and then lost a few wickets. We discussed that it was a very flat deck. 300+ was the score to set, but Kuldeep bowled really well in the middle phase.” said Dasun Shanaka.
Batsmen not getting starts is a big concern- Dasun Shanaka
“Batsmen not getting starts is a big concern. We had a chance because the ball was moving. I asked the fast bowlers to stick to their basics and move the ball.” he added.
