Team India captain Rohit Sharma has resumed cricket training in preparation for the white-ball matchup against Sri Lanka, which begins on January 3, next year.
During the second ODI against Bangladesh in Dhaka, the batsman suffered a finger injury during fielding. He was finally forced out of the third ODI and the two subsequent Tests against the Bangladesh Tigers. While India lost the one-day international series 2-1, they swept their opponents in the two-match Test series 2-0.

Rohit Sharma Resumes Practice
With a few key series on the horizon, Rohit went right back to Mumbai to heal his pain and speak with experts. He just resumed practicing and posted a few photos on his official Instagram profile. He wrote in the caption: “Getting There”
After missing a couple crucial games, the senior batsman will be anxious to get back on the field. He had a poor season across formats in 2022 and will be eager to begin the new year on a strong note with the ODI World Cup coming to his native country next year.

If he heals fully, he will most likely play in the series against Sri Lanka. Beginning on January 3, India will play three T20Is and as many ODIs against the Lankans.
Sri Lanka’s Tour Of India
The T20 series will kick off Sri Lanka’s trip to India. The first match of this series will be played in Mumbai on January 3, the second in Pune on January 5, and the third and final match in Rajkot on January 7.

In addition to this, the two sides will play a three-match One-Day International series. The first match will be played in Guwahati on January 10, the second in Kolkata on January 12, and the third and final ODI in Thiruvananthapuram on January 15.
