IND vs SL: Team India Players Wish Rishabh Pant Speedy Recovery Ahead Of First T20I

Team India players wished Rishabh Pant a speedy recovery ahead of the first T20I against Sri Lanka in Mumbai on January 3. Both teams take on each other in a three-match T20I and ODI series. The first T20I will be played on Tuesday The match starts at 7 pm IST. The next two T20Is will be played in Pune (November 5) and Rajkot (November 7). The three ODI games are scheduled to take place on January 10, 12, and 15 at Guwahati, Kolkata, and Thiruvananthapuram respectively.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant survived a near-fatal accident on Friday (Dec 30) morning when his car crashed with a divider, and he sustained multiple injuries. He is now admitted to Max Dehradun where he is undergoing treatment. The BCCI is keeping a tab on his development and will be taking care of his needs in the meantime.

In a video shared on the BCCI‘s official Twitter handle, head coach Rahul Dravid, stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya, his deputy Suryakumar Yadav, and the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Shubman Gill, and Ishan Kishan all sharing their thoughts about Pant.

Dravid mentioned him as a fighter and remembered a few of the match-winning innings that he has played for India in recent times.

“Hey Rishabh, hope you are doing well. Hope you get well soon. Over the last one year, I have had the privilege of seeing you play some of the greatest innings played in Indian Test cricket history. Whenever we have been in difficult situations, I knew you have got the character and the ability to get yourself out of very difficult situations. This is one such challenge and I know you will bounce back like you have done so many times last year. Look forward to having you back soon buddy” Dravid said.

Indian skipper Hardik Pandya wished him a speedy recovery as well saying that he will definitely make a comeback after recovering.

“Hi Rishabh just wanted to wish you a very speedy recovery, I know you’ve been a fighter, and things are not like what you have liked but life is like that and I know the kind of person you are, you will break all the door and make a comeback like you’ve always done, my love and my wishes are with you” said Hardik.

Suryakumar Yadav also wished him a speedy recovery saying that everyone within the squad is missing him.

“Hi Rishabh wishing you a speedy recovery, I know what the situation is right now, we miss you here and can’t wait to have you back as soon as possible. You’ve always been a fighter and I know you’ll be back soon. Have a lovely recovery,” said SKY.

Yuzvendra Chahal in his own witty sense of humor wished his teammate all the best wishes.

“Get well soon bro, we’re all missing you, jaldi se thik hoke aa jao, sath me chauke chakke marte hai, take care,” quipped Chahal.

Shubman Gill and Ishan also wished Pant a speedy recovery. Gill is expected to make his T20I debut for India in the first game in Mumbai.
