Former Australia cricketer Chadd Sayers has asked Shane Warne to shut up after the latter’s earlier assumptions emerged totally wrong in Ashes 2021-22. Chadd Sayers told Shane Warne to shut up in his latest tweet. The Australian spin legend had spoken against the selection of Mitchell Starc and Usman Khawaja in the Australian team in the ongoing Ashes 2021-22.
Shane Warne had earlier batted for Jhye Richardson instead of Mitchell Starc in the playing XI, citing that Starc is losing rhythm and form. Ahead of the AUS vs ENG 4th Test, Warne spoke against Usman Khawaja’s selection in the playing XI to replace Travis Head. He had called Mitchell Marsh as a better replacement.
Shane Warne Keeps Bragging His Own Aussie Players: Chadd Sayers
Shane Warne’s suggestions came out to be wrong as Mitchell Starc is the leading wicket-taker in the ongoing Ashes 2021-22 series. Moreover, Usman Khawaja, who was benched in the first three games, slammed a marvellous century during AUS vs ENG 4th Test clash in Sydney. Reacting to this, Chadd Sayers asked Shane Warne to shut up on Twitter.
“Shane Warne keeps bagging his own Aussie players. Went hard at Starc – Wrong and now Uzzie – wrong #shutup”, Sayers, who played 1 Test match for Australia in 2018, tweeted. Have a look at his tweet below.

“He needs to find a bit of rhythm and some form. He had a really poor [T20] World Cup. He’s just not bowling well enough. It’s too important at the Gabba. So I’m all for Jhye Richardson,” Warne had earlier spoke of Mitchell Starc.
“Australia has been waiting a long time for Mitchell Marsh to come good and right at the moment he’s in the form of his life. For me, I just think as a bowler who would I rather bowl to, Khawaja or Mitchell Marsh? I’d much rather bowl to Khawaja,” the former leg spinner had said on Usman Khawaja’s selection in AUS vs ENG 4th Test.
With 14 wickets at an average of 19.93 in Ashes 2021-22, Mitchell Starc is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. He played a major role in Australia’s victory in the first three games.
In the ongoing 4th Test, left-handed batsman Usman Khawaja slammed a fabulous century in the 1st innings, shattering a 137-run knock off 260 balls. On day 2, Australia posted 416-8 in the 1st innings. At the stumps, England reached 13-0 on the scoreboard and now trails by 403 runs.
