Star England all-rounder Ben Stokes was in a fun mood during the 3rd Test of the Ashes 2021-22 against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and he was attempting to distract pacer Mark Wood by using his water distraction antics.

During the drink breaks of the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the host broadcaster was conducting the interview with the England speedster Mark Wood with the help of the spider cam. As the interview was being held during the drink breaks the players had bottles of water and other drinks in their hands.

Meanwhile, all-rounder, Ben Stokes decided to distract Wood during his interview and tried to have some fun with the pacer. In the video shared by Cricket.com.au, the express pacer was genuinely busy answering the questions and Stokes was seen behind him and he tried to break Wood’s concentration numerous times by squirting the liquid out of the water bottle towards him.

However, when Stokes failed multiple times he changed his position and went closer to Wood and after a few attempts, the all-rounder finally got the pacers’ attention. Mark Wood looked slightly irritated and he yelled, “Pack it in, man”. However, nothing was serious as the commentators and players had a good laugh and the fans on social media also enjoyed the fun moment.

Talking about the match, England batters once again failed and they were bowled out for 185 runs in the first innings. However, England bowlers looked in good touch and Australia were bundled out for 267 runs in their first innings with James Anderson picking a 4-wicket haul. Also, the poor form of English batters continued in the second innings and at the end of the day, Joe Root-led side were at 31/4.
