Some records in cricket have always stayed forever and it is very difficult to break those records as the generation progresses and the cricket world has been changing over. Every era has different kinds of players who see the game in a different way and the modern era might not be able to catch up with some old records.

Sachin Tendulkar – 200 test matches

Sachin Tendulkar is the only man to have played 200 test matches on the planet and he is considered to be one of the all-time greats of the game. He holds numerous records under his name and is popularly called the ‘God of Cricket’ for his extraordinary career. The second most number of tests played has been 168 from Ricky Ponting. No other cricketer is expected to cross this tally of 200 tests.

Muttiah Muralitharan – 1347 international wickets

Muttiah Muralitharan is one of the greatest spinners of all time and his tally of 1347 international wickets is very unlikely to be broken. The off-spinner had an unorthodox action that allowed him to keep the batsmen guessing and he had some vicious turn off the pitch as well. He is the only bowler to take 800 test wickets and the second best to him has been 1001 international wickets by Shane Warne.

Sir Don Bradman – Test Batting average of 99.94

Sir Don Bradman is true, the greatest batsman of his era and he had some stunning numbers under his name. The Australian was unlucky to have missed out on the chance of finishing with an average of 100 and he settled down for 99.94 during his last test. The second best to him has been Adam Voges who is 61.87 and this is one of the top unbreakable records.

Rahul Dravid – Most Number Of Deliveries Faced

Rahul Dravid holds the record for the most number of deliveries faced in test cricket with 31258. Dravid had an enormous amount of patience and determination to stay in the crease and he indeed is considered to be one of the longer format legends. The second name to Dravid is Sachin Tendulkar who faced 29437 deliveries and this record will be tough to beat.

Sri Lanka – Highest Test Score In An Innings

Sri Lanka holds the record for the highest test score in an innings with a huge score of 952 for the loss of 6 wickets in a Test against India. The modern era has been wanting to close down games a lot with the draws coming down significantly and hence, this record is unlikely to be broken.

Australia – Three Consecutive World Cup Titles

Australia went on to win three World cup titles in a row which is unlikely to be achieved again or to be broken. Australia had an excellent set of members in their squad to dominate around the world and they won the 1999 World cup, 2003 World cup, and the 2007 World Cup.

Sunil Narine – Super Over Maiden

Sunil Narine managed to bowl a super over maiden in the Caribbean premier league 2014 and the mystery spinner is very useful in the T20 format. Defending 12 runs off the super over, Narine ended up giving no runs in the over against Guyana Amazon warriors and this record is unlikely to be broken.

Lasith Malinga – Four Wickets In Four Balls Twice In International Cricket

Lasith Malinga managed to pick up four wickets in four balls twice in his international career in two different formats. The Sri Lankan quick first achieved the feat against South Africa in the 2007 World cup picking up Shaun Pollock, Andrew Hall, Jacques Kallis, and Makhaya Ntini. He managed to achieve it again in a T20 international in 2019 against New Zealand.

Jack Hobbs – 199 First Class Centuries

Former England batsman Jack Hobbs had a fantastic domestic career with 199 first-class centuries under his name. He played 834 games scoring 61760 runs at an average of 50.70 and his tally of first-class centuries is definitely going to be tough to break.

Rohit Sharma – 3 Double Centuries In ODIs

Rohit Sharma created a world record when he scored 264 not out in an ODI against Sri Lanka and it was not his first double century also. He has three double centuries in total in ODIs and he is likely to continue adding up to the number. No other cricketer has got more than one double century and this tally is going to be tough to beat.
