India has been one of the biggest populated countries and hence, the nation has always established its love and hate for certain cricketers all around the world. The people have been too much into the cricket festival and to be honest, is more than a game in the country.
India has always loved overseas cricketers who haven’t shown aggressive intent on the ground and they respect those cricketers who have always well behaved despite them end up on the losing side. However, there might be times the nation has shown a late towards certain cricketers too, and here are the 5 most hated overseas cricketers in India.
5 Most Hated Int’l Cricketers In India:
Andrew Symonds:

Symonds and Harbhajan were involved in the Monkey-gate incident in 2007 as the off-spinner alleged the Australian batsman as a “Monkey” for his unorthodox hairstyle and his appearance. The Indian fans weren’t happy about particularly and felt that Symonds has misinterpreted Harbhajan’s words. This has always instilled some displeasure among Indian fans and has started showing a lot of hate for him.
Mushfiqur Rahim:

The former Bangladesh captain Musfiqur Rahim is one of the finest cricketers from the nation, but he had earned a lot of hatred from the Indian fans in two exclusive incidents. The first incident was in the 2007 Worldcup where he played a blinder of an innings at a very young age to knock out India from the group stages.
Also, in the 2016 T20 Worldcup, Bangladesh lost a game to India from the winning stages and Rahim was frustrated about it. When India was knocked out in the Semifinals, Rahim tweeted about India’s loss bring happiness to him. He deleted it later, but it certainly proved to be a big thorn in the hearts of the Indian people.
Javed Miandad:

It started off when Miandad asked the Indian spinner Dilip Doshi’s room number so that he can hit a six into the room. Miandad also mocked wicket-keeper Kiran More’s appeal in the 1992 Worldcup. But the one thing that stood out was his comments on Sachin Tendulkar to be forgotten after his retirement. It certainly did not go well with the Indians.
Ricky Ponting:

One of the all-time greats of the game, Ricky Ponting has broken numerous records and is the most successful captain in ODI history. He conquered all parts of the world with a high-class side but he never was loved by the Indians for his behaviour in the field especially against India.
He was hit by Javagal Srinath by a bouncer once when he wasn’t wearing a helmet, but he did not shy off and aggressively sent off the bowler back to his run-up when Srinath wanted to inquire if he is okay. He wasn’t happy with the umpire’s decisions that went against Australia and he was very quick to react. He has started enjoying coaching the Delhi Capitals at the moment and is starting to earn some love from the Indian people.
Andrew Flintoff:

It particularly got into the Indian captain Ganguly, and he showed off the same signature when India won the tri-series in England for a redemption.
Flintoff’s words against Yuvraj Singh in the ICC 2007 Worldcup agitated him and the left-hander went on to hit six sixes in an over. Flintoff hasn’t been able to earn love in India, especially and his reactions were always heating up the opponents.
