With the five-match T20 series well poised at 1-1, India will look to give a go to the young guns for the England ODI series who have shown a lot of character in recent times. Hence, the players who have underperformed in the last limited over series might not get the nod and we might see new faces getting their maiden opportunity.
Ishan Kishan’s debut innings in the second T20 was one such instance when the youngsters stepped up to the ranks. Also, India might consider resting few senior players for the ODI series who will be needed in a long run in all formats. India has a tight schedule ahead as the IPL gets underway once the limited-overs series against England gets over.

3 Indian Players Who Might Not Feature In The ODI Series:
Mayank Agarwal:
Mayank Agarwal was given an opportunity in the ODI series but failed most of the time and averages a mere 17 with the bat in his ODI career so far in 5 games. With a lot of competition going around for the opener slot and with Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and KL Rahul in the proceedings, Mayank Agarwal will have to make a way in the England series. He will also have to face tough competition from Ishan Kishan, Prithvi Shaw, and Devdutt Padikkal.
Manish Pandey:

Manish Pandey has been in and out of the side a lot of times but has done decently well in the T20 format for India. He averages more than 44 in the T20 format for India but hasn’t been at his best in the Australian tour recently which saw him losing a spot for the England series. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul have almost cemented the spots in the middle order and Manish Pandey might be the one to miss out.
Manish Pandey has had a quiet career in the ODI format averaging 35 with one century and two fifties which is nowhere match to his potential. He did play some good innings in IPL but wasn’t consistent enough to knock the doors of the selectors and with Suryakumar Yadav waiting in the wings, Manish Pandey will most probably be left out for the ODI series against England.
Jasprit Bumrah:

Jasprit Bumrah is one of the leading pace bowlers in India and with him needed for all the formats now, the Indian selector will prefer to rest him for the ODI series against England which is of the least priority right now. Bumrah left the Indian squad after the second test against England citing personal reasons and married famous sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan in Goa on March 15.
The Indian management will have to manage Bumrah’s workload with India playing New Zealand in the World Test Championship in the month of July, followed by a five-match test series in England and then the most important T20 World Cup. This will be the best time to rest the Gujarat pacer who will be playing the long IPL in a few day’s time for the Mumbai Indians.
