Former Indian captain Virat Kohli was castled by West Indies National Cricket Team spin bowling all-rounder Roston Chase in the second T20 International of the three-match T20I series on Friday, February 18 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Virat Kohli, who didn’t perform very well in the ODI series and scored only 17 runs in the first T20I, looked sensational in the second T20I against the West Indies and he batted with an excellent strike rate in the powerplay overs.
Spinner Roston Chase came to bowl the 14th over of the match and Kohli smashed a wonderful six in the second delivery to get to his half-century.
However, Chase took revenge by dismissing Kohli in the 4th ball of the 14th over. Kohli tried to take a single off the ball but it turned in and Kohli was beaten by the turn. There was a big gap between the bat and pad of Kohli and the ball went through the defence to crash into the stumps.
Virat Kohli’s innings ended at the score of 52 runs. He scored his runs off 41 balls, including 7 fours and 1 six and at a strike rate of 126.83.
