After beating Bangladesh 3-0, Pakistan would look to continue the winning momentum in the T20 series against West Indies. The second T20 international is scheduled to be played on Tuesday at National Stadium in Karachi. Babar Azam failed miserably on the difficult pitches in Bangladesh.

He would be hoping to get some runs under his belt. He will be supported by the likes of M Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman in the batting department. Haider Ali too didn’t inspire a lot of confidence either in Bangladesh. He will be a player to watch out for in the next two T20 internationals.

Imad Wasim and Hasan Ali have been rested for the series. Shabad Khan will continue to lead the spin department, while the likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Shahnawaz Dhani will form a formidable bowling pair.

West Indies, on the other hand, are playing with a depleted 12-man squad. Three players who were part of the squad such as Roston Chase, Kyle Mayers, and Sheldon Cottrell have been tested positive for Covid-19. West Indies are currently down to a 12-man squad. There aren’t a lot of changes they can make in their playing XI.

Big names such as Andre Russell, Shimron Hetmyer, Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis had opted out of the series due to personal reasons. Jason Holder has been rested for the series, while Kieron Pollard is recovering from the hamstring injury.

Nicholas Pooran is currently leading the team in the series. In the batting department, they have got the likes of Brandon King, Shai Hope, and Darren Bravo to name a few. West Indies have included three exciting all-rounders in Dominic Drakes, Romario Shepherd, and Odean Smith to further strengthen the unit.

All three performed well in the CPL 2021 and are expected to do well in the ongoing T20 series as well.
