India’s rookie bowler Deepak Chahar gave his gratitude to all the supporters after making his debut. However, Chahar didn’t have the ideal start to his ODI career as he leaked 37 runs and scalped a solitary wicket in the four overs he bowled. Therefore, the Rajasthan lad conceded his runs at an economy of 9.25. Consequently, Chahar could not start his career on a high.

Meanwhile, Chahar was presented with his maiden ODI cap by India’s head coach Ravi Shastri. Hence, it was a proud moment for Deepak Chahar and his family.

On the other hand, the right-hander scored 12 runs off 14 balls in India’s run-chase. Thus, Chahar had an ODI debut to forget. In fact, Chahar had also made his T20I debut recently against England.

India had gone on to win that contest by seven wickets. Meanwhile, Chahar didn’t have the best of debut in the shortest format as well. The right-hander swing bowler leaked 43 runs and took one wicket in his four overs quota.

Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar played under the captaincy of MS Dhoni in the Indian Premier League while playing for the Chennai Super Kings. The fast bowler had impressed with his skills as he got the ball to swing at a good speed of 140 km/h.

Interestingly, Chahar made his ODI debut under the captaincy of his Chennai Super Kings skipper, MS Dhoni. Dhoni lead India for the 200th time when Rohit Sharma decided to give himself a rest in order to give chance to other players.

Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar had also impressed on the recent tour of England with the India A side. He was the leading wicket-getter in the ODI series against England Lions.

Deepak Chahar took to his Twitter account to thank his supporters. Chahar post read as, “ODI debut.
Cap presented by @RaviShastriOfc sir.
And thanks to all those who supported me. @msdhoni @yuzi_chahal @coach_rsridhar @BCCI”.
