So, it’s a one-sided affair at Dubai between India and Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018 at Dubai. All the things fell in place for India on September 19 (Wednesday) to beat Pakistan convincingly by eight wickets. Meanwhile, the loss didn’t serve well for the legendary fast bowler Waqar Younis.

Initially, all the analysts and the cricketing fanatics expected that this is the best chance for Pakistan to seal the victory as Indians are in some sort of troubles with their playing XI.

However, the result and the gameplay was completely different that shook many individuals out there.

There could not have been a better chance than this to defeat India – Waqar Younis

The premium fast bowler Waqar stated that he is surprised to see Pakistan getting into pressure despite having all the advantages in their favour.

Veteran Waqar added that the team had got a nice balance in the squad and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is more like a home ground for them.

Former Pakistani skipper went on to add saying that it was the best chance possible for Sarfraz Ahmed and his men to thrash Men in Blue. Waqar felt that Indians are tired of playing in England and are also playing in the absence of Virat Kohli.

Speaking to News18, Younis said, “How did our team come under such pressure? I can’t believe that they have come under such pressure, there could not have been a better chance than this to defeat India. Given how hard Hong Kong made India work yesterday, Pakistan could have taken advantage of this opportunity.”

”For the first time in ten years, I had felt that the Indian team was feeling pressure ahead of a game against Pakistan. It’s possible that there was a reason for this. For instance, this is (effectively) Pakistan’s home ground. India are not used to playing in such heat. And to add to that, they have just returned from a long tour of England,” he added.

Despite having the strong lads on the paper, Men in Green didn’t show any fighting spirit against India. India overhauled them at the packed Dubai International Stadium.
