Jasprit Bumrah, Team India’s fast-bowling leader, has been ruled out of the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 due to a back injury.
Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt thinks that the top pacer will be missed by India during the multi-nation tournament.
Bumrah is a T20 cricket player with a track record of success, the speaker noted in a video posted to his YouTube channel. As one of the Men in Blue’s most important players, Salman Butt claimed that the right-absence armer’s is a major loss for them.
“Jasprit Bumrah will undoubtedly be missed by India. When a bowler like Bumrah is absent, it does affect things significantly. In addition to being a very skilled bowler, he has extensive experience. He is a match-winner because of his excellent bowling in the last few overs and his excellent use of the new ball.”
The last time Jasprit Bumrah played was during the white-ball part of India’s tour of England last month. However, a back spasm prevented him from playing in the third and final ODI of the series.
Salman Butt on India’s pace attack:
The young bowlers from India now have a lot of experience playing international cricket, Salman Butt continued. Salman Butt also emphasized how the administration of the squad has consistently provided them opportunities.
“India’s young bowlers have had a plethora of opportunities. Despite their youth, they have all played international cricket before. They will feel confident since they have played a lot of cricket. While Bumrah is the finest of the bunch, the others are not exactly fresh either.”
On August 28, Rohit Sharma’s team will play their first game of the Asia Cup 2022 against Pakistan. At the Dubai International Stadium, the eagerly anticipated match will take place.
