Shahid Afridi, a former Pakistan National Cricket Team captain, has made his prediction for the high-profile clash between the arch-rivals India National Cricket Team and Pakistan National Cricket Team in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022.
Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team are set to lock horns with Babar Azam-led Pakistan National Cricket Team at the Dubai International Stadium, Dubai on Sunday, August 28.

The last time when the Men In Blue and the Men In Green went head-to-head at the same venue during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, the Virat Kohli-led Team India lost the match by 10 wickets after the dominant performances of the Pakistan players – Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Also, India’s heartbreaking 10-wicket defeat in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 match against Pakistan was the first loss of the Men In Blue against Pakistan in a World Cup match.
Recently, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, who was a leg-spinner and a right-handed batsman, conducted a Question & Answer session on his official Twitter handle.
A fan asked Afridi, “Which is the stronger team in Pakistan Vs India match and who do you think will win?” In response, Afridi avoided naming a team and he wrote: “Depends on who makes the least mistakes.”

We missed him really badly last year in the World Cup – Ravi Shastri on star all-rounder
Former India National Cricket Team head coach Ravi Shastri said that the star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is the most important member of the Indian T20I team as he provides a much-needed balance to the side. He added that the Men In Blue badly missed his bowling services at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.
“He (Pandya) is one of the most important cogs in the wheel as far as India is concerned,” Shastri said in a press conference organised by Star Sports.
“You take him out of the squad and the balance goes away. That’s how important he is. You don’t know whether to play an extra batsman or an extra bowler,” he added.
“We missed him really badly last year in the (T20) World Cup when he couldn’t bowl. It makes a massive difference. There is no one close to him when it comes to the quality that he possesses at that number. I think he is an extremely important player and has to be watched very closely. With the number of matches coming up, he is the last person you want to play in all those matches,” Shastri said.
