Cameron Green has been a valuable player for Australian cricket for a number of years, according to former Australia cricketer Matthew Hayden, who also predicted that Green will play a significant role in the team’s future.

With a 61-point performance in just 30 balls, Cameron Green put India in danger of losing the match. Following Aaron Finch’s early dismissal, Green and Steve Smith combined for an important 70-run partnership.

Cameron Green A Huge Part Of The Future Of Australian Cricket: Matthew Hayden

In the first T20I against India at Mohali, Green, who was twice brought down, hit four maximums and eight boundaries.

“Greene, he has been a really big asset for Australian Cricket for a couple of years now, He is a genuine all-rounder. I just think he is such a huge part of the future of Australian cricket,” Matthew Hayden said while speaking on Star Sports show ‘Match Point’.

Cameron Green appeared to be a little let down by the ball, said Matthew Hayden. In his three overs of bowling, the Australian got one wicket and gave up 46 runs. Suryakumar Yadav was caught behind for 46 runs when Green stopped him from reaching fifty. Green, though, hid it with the bat.

“So it doesn’t really surprise me, he is very capable, he is a big man with good skills. He looked a little bit disappointing with the ball, but it is a tough place to bowl.”

When Cameron Green was dismissed, Matthew Wade and Tim David pushed the first game to the limit to keep Australia’s hopes alive. When Australia still required 18 runs from the final two overs, Bhuvneshwar Kumar let up 16 runs in the penultimate over, which proved to be the turning moment.
