Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria praised the Indian pacer for his performance in the match. He cited Jasprit Bumrah’s stunning yorker, which sent Australian skipper Aaron Finch packing.

Bumrah, Team India’s star pacer, bowled a tidy session in the second T20I against Australia on Friday, September 23.

Notably, Finch was spotted praising the bowler for his nearly unplayable delivery after being dismissed. In Kaneria’s opinion, Bumrah might very well be breaking batters’ toes at the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022.

Following Australia’s six-wicket loss to the Men in Blue, he commented on his YouTube channel:

“Jasprit Bumrah is back on track. The opposition teams must beware, as he is looking in a great rhythm. While he started with a wide, it was over 140 kph. He then bowled a brilliant yorker to dismiss Aaron Finch.”

“Finch couldn’t stop himself from applauding the delivery. It is never easy to make a comeback after an injury. He bowled an excellent spell under pressure. He is going to break people’s toes at the T20 World Cup.”

Harshal Patel’s recent performances have been criticized by Danish Kaneria:

In the first two games, Harshal Patel, who recovered from a rib injury to play cricket again in the Australia series, has appeared unmotivated.

The seamer has been leaking a lot of runs, Danish Kaneria highlighted, and is still trying to find his rhythm. Despite the rainy conditions making it challenging to hold the ball in the second game, he pointed out that a player is supposed to perform better while bowling at the top level.

“Harshal Patel hasn’t made a strong comeback. He gave away a lot of runs in this game too. Yes, the ball was getting wet due to the conditions, but that shouldn’t be an excuse if you are playing at the international level” Danish Kaneria said.

Patel has come under fire for his lacklustre performances in the ongoing series. The 31-year-old is yet to take a wicket in the series and has a terrible economy rate of 13.50.
