Indian Cricket Team is all set to play 4 Tests & 3 ODIs against Australia in February-March 2023. This tour is considered to be an iconic one as both teams are evenly matched. The mighty Aussies would be keen to end the drought of 19 years as they haven’t won Test Series in India since 2004.

This ODI Series is set to commence on 17th March as these ODIs are a part of the World Super League. Both teams have qualified for the ODI World Cup 2023. With less than a year left for World Cup 2023, both teams would be keen to find the ideal combination.

David Hussey on Glenn Maxwell

David Hussey was having an interaction with SEN and was asked about Glenn Maxwell. “He’s (Maxwell) not going to make it by the end of the BBL, unfortunately. But he’s very diligent in his return to play with his rehab. He’s been down to the St Kilda Football Club a bit and has been at the Junction Oval with Cricket Victoria. I dare say towards the end of January, he may be available or hitting some cricket balls to try and get back to play some state cricket and Shield cricket to hopefully get on that plane for the One-Day tour of India for Australia.” said David Hussey.

“He’s out of the moon boot now, he’s been walking around without crutches and unassisted, so he’s going well.“But he’s still got a big metal rod in his foot, so I think that takes a bit of time and rehab to get some movement with the ligaments in the foot and get everything humming again.” he added.

Fascinating Contest on Cards

The Men in Blue need to win the Test Series by 3-0 or 3-1 to stake a claim in the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) race. The hosts need to bring their ‘A’ game as this time Australian Cricket team is no longer dependent on the dup of Smith & Warner.

With Rishabh Pant ruled out of the Australia leg, the management needs to find a like for like replacement quickly. It would be interesting to see whether KL Rahul finds a place in the playing 11 after a forgettable Test Series against Bangladesh where he looked in all sorts of trouble.
