India has been missing a left-arm seamer for quite some time in the Test Arena now. The Men in Blue would be well aware of the fact that Aussies would be well prepared as they haven’t won Test Series in India since 2004. It would be interesting to see how skipper Pat Cummins fares in his maiden tour as a captain.

Karsan Ghavri on Jaydev Unadkat

Karsan Ghavri was having an interaction with the Times of India and was asked about Jaydev Unadkat. “When Dinesh Karthik can play at the age of 37 and perform well for India, why not Unadkat? Unadkat has been consistent in Ranji Trophy. He has been taking wickets. He is back in the Indian side and I am sure he will play a big and long role here. So age has nothing to do with cricketing abilities. It is all about fitness and form. Unadkat has both boxes ticked,” said Karsan Ghavri.

Fascinating Series on Cards

Last time in 2017, the World Cricket experienced a riveting contest both on & off the field. The Aussies had lost the series after being 1-0 up which would have hurt them a lot. The problem with Australia is that they don’t have a reliable 2nd spinner present after Nathan Lyon which is a concern for the team.

India has to make sure that they not only clinch the Test Series but win by a margin of 3-0 or 3-1 to stake a claim in the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) final. It would be interesting to see whether the new selection panel bring back Ajinkya Rahane as he has a pretty good record against Australia.
