Big Bash League Live Score; BBL Live Score; Brisbane Heat vs Melbourne Renegades Live Score. The third match of the Big Bash League 2022-23 will see Brisbane Heat lock horns with the Melbourne Renegades at the Cazaly’s Stadium in Cairns, both teams are well-matched and will be looking to start the season on a positive note with 2 points up for grabs.

Brisbane Heat

The Brisbane Heat failed to live up to the expectations last season and finished in the second-last position on the point table just above the Renegades, owing to a better net run rate.

Despite Usman Khawaja being unavailable for the season opener, Brisbane Heat’s batting unit looks solid with the presence of Jimmy Peirson, Max Bryant, Sam Billings, and Colin Munro.

Although they lack big names, their bowling unit is penetrative enough, studded with the likes of Mark Steketee and Mitchell Swepson. However, the experienced duo will need support from Xavier Bartlett and Matt Kuhnemann to neutralize the rampant Renegades.

Melbourne Renegades

Melbourne Renegades were the bottom-dwellers with only three wins from fourteen matches in the last season, most of their senior players couldn’t get going and will be expected to put up a better show this time around.

The likes of Aaron Finch, Nic Maddinson, and Jon Wells form their batting core, while the presence of Kane Richardson, Akeal Hosein, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman makes their bowling unit a potent one.

The addition of Andre Russell this season will be very valuable as the all round could prove to be very effective this season. Mujeeb ur Rahman will also be seen in red this season, he will enjoy playing the season opener against previous his franchise Brisbane Heat

Brisbane Heat vs Melbourne Renegades, 3rd Match: Pitch Report

The pitch at Cazaly’s Stadium has traditionally been a really good batting wicket, but it also provides enough assistance to the fast bowlers upfront and the spinners tend effective on this pitch.  There should be plenty of bounce and carry which the fast bowers will enjoy. The ball should also come on nicely to the bat. The team winning the toss will most likely opt to bowl first.
