Big Bash League Schedule
The Big Bash League schedule for the 2023-24 edition of the tournament is out. The Big Bash League (BBL) is Australia's premier T20 competition. It was established by Cricket Australia in 2011. The tournament replaced the previous domestic T20 competition, the KFC T20 Big Bash. The competition features a total of eight city-based franchises instead of the six state teams that had participated previously.
The eight teams of the BBL are - Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder. Sydney Sixers won the inaugural edition in the 2011-12 season by beating Perth Scorchers in the final.
Perth Scorchers, on the other hand, are the most successful team in the history of the BBL, having won it five times. Out of the eight teams, only Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes are yet to win the tournament.
