Chepauk Super Gillies 2025 Match Schedule

Chepauk Super Gillies are the most successful side in the history of the TNPL. They have won the tournament a record four times including three titles in a row. The Chennai-based outfit has been playing in the tournament since the first season in 2016.

In the first season, they finished runners-up after losing to Tuti Patriots in the final. The Super Gillies went on to make amends in 2017 by winning the tournament for the first time. They beat the Patriots in the final to clinch their maiden TNPL title.

In 2018, the Super Gillies had the opportunity to defend their title but they had a terrible season. They finished at the bottom of the points table after managing just one win from seven games and bowed out at the league stage.

The Super Gillies bounced back in style in 2019 as they became the first team to win the tournament twice. After a second-place finish in the league stage, they beat Dindigul Dragons in the first qualifier to storm into the final for the third time in four seasons. In the final, they beat the Dragons once again to win the competition.

While the TNPL was cancelled in 2020, it did not affect Super Gillies' trophy-winning momentum. In 2021, they won the competition for the third time. The Super Gillies defeated Trichy Grand Cholas in the final to become the first team to win the competition three times.

In 2022, the Super Gillies along with Lyca Kovai Kings were adjudged joint winners after the final was washed out. In the following season, the Super Gillies failed to qualify for the playoffs. In 2024, they qualified for the playoffs but could not reach the final.
