Veteran India National Cricket Team opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has climbed up to the 13th spot in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Rankings for batters, released by the ICC on Wednesday.

Dhawan, who is India’s stand-in captain for the ongoing three-match ODI series against West Indies, smashed brilliant 97 runs in the first ODI in Port of Spain to eventually help India win the match. He won the Player of the Match award for his performance and his 97 runs knock has also helped him jump to the joint-13th position in the ODI rankings for batters.

Star batsman Shreyas Iyer, who has always performed brilliantly against West Indies in ODIs, smashed back-to-back half-centuries in the first 2 ODIs and he has jumped to joint-54th place in the rankings

Modern-day batting greats Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have dropped a spot each in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Rankings and now they are at the 5th and 6th position respectively.

Also, from the India National Cricket Team pacer Mohammed Siraj has entered the top 100 in the ICC Men’s ODI Rankings for bowlers and he is at the 97th spot.

From West Indies National Cricket Team, star opener Shai Hope has jumped to the 12th spot after his sensational century in the 2nd ODI while right-arm pacer Alzarri Joseph has moved up 2 spots to reach 16th place in the rankings for bowlers after his consistent performance.

Also, the three-match ODI series between England and South Africa recently ended in a 1-1 draw. Star South Africa batter Quinton de Kock has moved up to the 4th spot in the rankings for batters.

Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Babar Azam is dominating the ICC Men’s Player Rankings. He is currently the No.1 ranked batter in ODI and T20I rankings. Also, his Test century in the first game against Sri Lanka has helped him reach a career-high third ranking with a career-best rating of 874 points.

From Pakistan National Cricket Team, opener Abdullah Shafique, who has had a remarkable start to his Test career, has jumped to the 16th position in the ICC Test rankings.

Young pace bowling sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi has moved up one place to 3rd position in the ICC Test rankings for bowlers while Hasan Ali and Yasir Shah have gained a slot each to reach 13th and 32nd spot respectively.

Talking about Sri Lanka National Cricket Team players, star spinner Prabath Jayasuriya has jumped to 44th position and star batter Dinesh Chandimal, who has been in incredible form, has reached 18th position.

Meanwhile, in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, New Zealand player Glenn Phillips has moved up to the 27th spot in the rankings for batters and pacer Lockie Ferguson has moved up to 35th place among bowlers. Also, Ireland bowlers Mark Adair and Joshua Little have made good progress.
