His consistent run of form with the bat will surely be considered and he is expected to break into the Indian ODI side soon.
Prithvi Shaw has already captained his Under 19 team under the guidance of Rahul Dravid in 2018 and won the trophy. He also led Mumbai to victory through excellent individual performances and proved to very effective with his captaincy stint. It will only be a matter of time since he becomes a regular in the Indian ODI team and he can surely be a contender to lead the team after the 2023 world cup.

Shubman Gill has come his way up through the ranks with a lot of big scores and he is a big match player. He has stunning numbers in first-class cricket and is deemed to be the next big thing in Indian cricket. He was first seen playing for the India U-19 side in the 2018 Worldcup that featured Prithvi Shaw and finished as the top scorer for India in the tournament. Shreyas Iyer has led the Delhi Capitals to playoffs in 2019 and 2020 and has been very successful so far once he has taken over the reins.
