Mitchell Starc took the IPL 2024 by storm as he became the highest-paid player in IPL history after KKR shelled 24.75 crores at the IPL 2024 auction. In the same auction, SRH paid 20 crores to rope in Pat Cummins and also named him the captain of the franchise.
KKR and SRH invested heavily in the two Australian pacers and both pacers played a key role in taking the teams to the final. KKR then defeated SRH to win their third IPL title.
Cummins and Starc were part of Australia's ODI World Cup winning squad in 2023 and both the pacers played a key role in Australia's win as well. Starc picked up 16 wickets while Cummins picked up 15 as Australia won their fifth World Cup title.
Australia's winning mentality was what the franchises were after when KKR and SRH sought out Cummins and Starc. Both delivered consistently with the ball during the knockout stages of the tournament. Starc was a bit slow to start but caught up momentum in the second half of the tournament.

KL Rahul
KL Rahul is expected to be released by Lucknow Super Giants after reports of his fallout with team owner Sanjeev Goenka. He is now an established Indian cricketer and is among the top run-getters in the IPL in the last five years having scored over 3500 runs. RCB is expected to buy Rahul and also name him the captain as per reports.
Arshdeep Singh
Arshdeep is already among the top wicket-takers in T20I cricket for India slowly approaching 100 wickets in the format. He has also picked up a lot of wickets for Punjab Kings and has been their most consistent bowler in the last three to four years.
Arshdeep has only played for the Kings in the IPL so far and in case he is not retained by them, teams might break the bank for him.

Chahal is the top -wicket-taker in the IPL with 205 wickets from 160 matches. Despite being a consistent wicket-taker in the last few years, he has found himself out of the Indian team for the majority of three years.
