Virat Kohli has all but won the Orange Cap for the 17th season of the Indian Premier League. The right-handed batsman finished his campaign in IPL 2024 as the leading run-scorer and no batter has managed to even get close to his run tally let alone going past him.
The right-handed batsman's season ended with Royal Challengers Bengaluru's defeat in the Eliminator against Rajasthan Royals earlier this week. Virat Kohli finished his season with an impressive 741 runs from 15 games with the help of one century and two half-centuries. No other player has managed to even touch the 600-run mark this season.
The only player who could have got close to his tally was Travis Head as he had two more games to play after Kohli's campaign ended. However, the Australian batter failed to score big in the second qualifier before being dismissed for a duck in the ongoing final between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Head finished his campaign with 567 runs.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is at the second spot in the list with 583 runs followed by Riyan Parag who has scored 573 runs. Head and Sanju Samson complete the top five.
