Discarded Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad has finally opened up on his comparison with India's star cricketer Virat Kohli. Shehzad calls his comparison with Kohli "wrong" in terms of the performances on the field.

Ahmed Shehzad was once known as the future of Pakistan cricket. He made his international debut almost at the same time as Virat Kohli made his debut for India. Both of them had immense talent in them and showed glimpses of being their country's future.

While Kohli kept on growing in stature every year, Shehzad's rise was hampered due to a lack of form and consistency. Both of them were also known for their good looks and were further compared on this basis.

Ahmed Shehzad breaks silence on his comparison with Virat Kohli

Recently, Ahmed Shehzad was interviewed by Sports Tak where he spoke about his comparisons with Virat Kohli. Shehzad feels that the comparison between the two players was "wrong" but doesn't shy away from the fact that they can be only compared through looks.

"I was compared to Virat Kohli, which was wrong. The talk up to the looks was fine, but there was no other comparison," Shehzad said during the interview.

While Kohli was able to convert his talent into several match-winning performances, Shehzad wasn't able to find consistency in his career. Kohli went on to grow from strength to strength and emerged as one of India's finest ever.
