"Angad has seen his father win the World Cup"- Jasprit Bumrah after India's T20 World Cup win in Barbados

Jasprit Bumrah was crucial to India's World Cup win as he ended the tournament with 15 wickets. He took two wickets in the final including the wicket of Reeza Hendricks and the key wicket of Marco Jansen with South Africa closing in on a win in the final overs.

Bumrah delivered time and again consistently throughout the World Cup. he was Rohit Sharma's go-to bowler throughout the campaign and did the job for the team on the big day.

Virat Kohli scored 76 in the big final and won the Man of the Match. Bumrah, on the other hand, was named the Player of The Tournament for his consistency throughout the World Cup.

He spoke to his wife Sanjana Ganesan after India won their second World Cup title. Ganesan working on behalf of the ICC in this tournament asked Bumrah to express his feelings on winning the World Cup and it was a downpour from the Indian pacer.

"It's not really sink in. Midway through the innings, we were confident. But how it was going we were a little nervous. But yaa really happy to get a win like this, it has been a great tournament" said Bumrah.

The lead India pacer who is now also a father said that it was a great feeling for him to win the World Cup with his son watching him play and win a World Cup.

"Obviously as you know, Angad is also here, he has seen his father win the World Cup there is no better feeling and to contribute in a tournament like this there is no better feeling in that" added the pacer.

Bumrah also commented on India's unbeaten run in this T20 World Cup saying " All praises fall short. We have held our caml with the expectations on our shoulders and we have stuck to our processes, and even in the last stages, it seemed a little gleam we did not panic so yeah words fall short.

The Indian pacer also kept a word on the entire Indian bowling attack and complimented them for this success as well.

"It's been really good. All of them are so confident and the variety that they bring and the confidence that they have to execute it on the big stage that's brilliant to see and there is no better feeling than this."

Bumrah sounded like a man over the moon after India's T20 World Cup win. He was named the Player of the Series and it was an outburst of emotions from him while speaking at the post-match presentation.

"Usually, I try to keep my emotions in check, but this time, it's an unreal feeling," Bumrah said, radiating happiness. "I'm over the moon, especially with my family here. We've come close on previous occasions, but to get our team through is surreal" said the Indian pacer.

Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma's tactical decision to bat first paid off as South Africa eventually crumbled under pressure in the chase. From 30-odd required in the final five overs, South Africa lost the match by 7 runs.
