Arshdeep Singh Among ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer Of The Year 2022 Nominees

The candidates for the Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year award were announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday, December 28. The candidates for the prize are Marco Jansen of South Africa, Arshdeep Singh of India, Finn Allen of New Zealand, and Ibrahim Zadran of Afghanistan.
The four individuals competing for the ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year award in 2022 are two left-arm fast bowlers and two openers.

Indian Pacer Arshdeep Singh Strong Contender For Emerging Player Of The Year Award

Finn Allen from New Zealand has 411 runs scored in T20Is at a strike rate of 155.09 and an average of 21.63. Additionally, the right-handed batter’s 387 runs in ODI’s were generated at a strike rate of 94.39 and an average of 38.70. The teenager, who now starts for the Kiwis in place of veteran Martin Guptill, also got a century against Scotland on 56 balls.
Zadran set a record for the highest ODI individual score by a touring batsman in Sri Lanka earlier this year. He surpassed Gautam Gambhir’s record against Sri Lanka by scoring 162 runs. Additionally, Zadran recorded the best ODI individual score by an Afghanistan batsman.
