Ravichandran Ashwin is known to have hosted several Indian cricketers for interviews through his YouTube channel Ash ki Baat. The veteran spinner has retired from all formats of the game but still continues to share his opinion on several decisions and moves associated with the game, especially surrounding Indian cricket.

Vimal Kumar pulled in a guy and asked Ashwin to recognize him. The Indian cricketer was quick to respond as he recognized the man as Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh's father. Singh is currently playing in Australia, and his father also responded to Ashwin cheerfully.
It was a lovely moment between the three, while Vimal Kumar teased the former cricketer, saying that Singh's father is there as a fan of him and not Ashwin. Ashwin too jokingly remarked, saying that Arshdeep should not give any interview to Vimal, who has been looking for it for a long time.

During the conversation, Ravichandran Ashwin mentioned to Arshdeep Singh's father that they were just then discussing the cricketer's repeated snub from the Indian side despite his stellar show since his debut, especially in the shortest format of the game.
"Sir, we were just talking about your son. I was arguing with Vimal bhai about why Arshdeep Singh isn't being played in the XI. Of course, you don't have to answer anything; I understand. But Vimal bhai always says that Arshdeep shouldn't be played, and I'd be supporting Arshdeep over his inclusion," said Ravichandran Ashwin.

Arshdeep picked for India A series against South Africa
The Indian left-arm pacer is currently featuring for India in the 5-match T20I series against Australia. He played a very crucial role in their back-to-back wins at Hobart and Carrara. After his return from the Australian islands, he will join the India A team for the white-ball series against South Africa A.
Arshdeep, since the England tour, has been snubbed from the Test side, and the saga continues in the home series against South Africa as well. After the India A series ends, Arshdeep is likely to join India for the white-ball series against South Africa from the 30th of November.
