England cricket team will be eyeing revenge against Australia on 28th July at Lord’s after a narrow defeat in the opening Test match. Michael Vaughan believes that the Ben Stokes side lacked intent. Michael Vaughan was utterly disappointed after England bowled 24 no-balls in the first test match.

Australia might bring back the lethal speedster Mitchell Starc and use him as a secret weapon just like the 2019 Ashes. Scott Boland looked a bit off-colour as it was hard work for the pacers on a flat surface.

England fans would be hoping that the injury of Moeen Ali is not a serious one else the rising spinner Rehan Ahmed would be in the contention of playing his maiden Ashes match and at the same time Rehan Ahmed can also play a handy knock for the team.

England was lacking sharpness in the field – Michael Vaughan

Michael Vaughan was having an interaction with News Corp and stated that there was no proper match practice for the England team and said the side should have played at least 2 days of cricket. Michael Vaughan was furious at ECB for opting for a relaxed approach.

“The reason why they lost I don’t think was because of the declaration, but I do think it was because they were lacking sharpness in the field. They dropped too many chances. You look at the no balls. Australia bowled four no balls, England bowled 24,” said Michael Vaughan.

“England opted to practice for the Ashes by playing golf for a week. I’d have loved to have seen them play at least two days of cricket leading into a big Ashes series. but they’ve opted for that relaxed approach. And it kind of showed in the field,” he added.
