According to IOL Sport, the real reason behind Ashwell Prince stepping down from his role was to spend more time with his family. Notably, the former Proteas cricketer is married to Melissa Kistensamy and the couple have three children.

The 44-year-old has made big contributions to Bangladesh cricket and helped the team produce new young batters. Under his guidance, young Bangladesh batters helped the team register a historic win over the World Test Champions BlackCaps in New Zealand by 8 wickets.

Before batting coach Ashwell Prince Bangladesh’s bowling coach Ottis Gibson has also stepped down from his role last month to join the English County Championship side Yorkshire as the head coach.
