“The thing about playing in England, you can get the conditions against you. He walked out sometimes under lights and clouds, and a [score of] 30 there is worth double,” Cummins said as quoted by DailyMail..

“The [140-run] partnership he put on with Usman [Khawaja during the fifth Test] was fantastic. It was probably the story of the tour for him. So many moments where he felt like he got on top of the game and then England got themselves back into it,” he added.

Warner and Khawaja added 140 runs in the fifth and final Test of the series while chasing a target of 384 runs. However, the middle-order batters failed to capitalize on the start and were bowled out for just 334 runs on the final day.

David Failed To Convert His Starts Into Big Scores

David Warner scored 285 runs in the five-match series against Australia at an average of 28.5, with a best score of 66 runs. The left-handed batter smashed two half-centuries. He crossed the 20-run mark in 7 innings out of 10 but failed to convert them into big scores.

The 36-year-old made his Test debut in 2011 against New Zealand and became a regular member of the squad. The Southpaw represented the national team in 109 Test matches and scored 8487 runs with an average of 44.43. He has hit 25 centuries and 36 fifties.
