During the West Indies tour of Australia in 2022, a T20I and Test series will take place. While the AUS vs WI T20I series will be played in October 2022, the Test series will take place later in November-December 2022.

The AUS vs WI T20I series will witness two games. The AUS vs WI 1st T20I will take place on October 5 (Wednesday) at Carrara Oval in Queensland. The 2nd T20I will be played on October 7 (Friday) at The Gabba in Brisbane. Aaron Finch leads Australia in the T20I series while Nicholas Pooran leads West Indies.

After the T20I series, both teams will participate in ICC T20 World Cup 2022. After the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2022, the AUS vs WI Test series will take place. Two matches will take place during the series. The 1st Test will start on November 30 while the 2nd Test will begin on December 8.

Australia recently played a T20I series against India. During the away tour, Australia played three T20I games against India. Australia lost the series 1-2. They managed to win the 1st T20I by 4 wickets but lost the 2nd and the 3rd T20I by 6 wickets.

West Indies last played a T20I series against New Zealand in August 2022. In the three-match T20I series, West Indies lost 1-2. New Zealand won the 1st T20I by 13 runs and the 2nd T20I by 90 runs. West Indies managed to win the 3rd T20I by 8 wickets.

Both teams have announced their squads for the T20I series. Both the teams have nominated a 15-member squad for the series. Australia will be led by Aaron Finch in the T20I series. Nicholas Pooran is the skipper of West Indies in the T20I series.
