Nitish Kumar Reddy speaks after his match-winning knock
While speaking to the BCCI after the match, Nitish Kumar Reddy revealed the conversation between him and Rinku Singh during their partnership. He stated that Rinku was telling him to keep hitting the ball.
"He was telling me, 'Baby, it's God's plan'. We were just believing it and just hitting the ball. It feels very good. Playing for India is itself a very proud moment and getting the Man of the Match, I feel so grateful and I just want to live in this moment.
"Once I got to know that from here you should take on the bowlers, I just decided that I would take them on. I was just backing myself that you can do this. We were just having a smooth conversation. We were not taking any pressure. That's the key thing that we did," Reddy said.

Nitish Kumar Reddy also mentioned that both of them did not take any pressure and were clear about their plans. The youngster also credited the head coach Gautam Gambhir for giving him confidence when he was given the ball.
"We did not plan anything about the score or anything. When we saw the spinner coming, we told each other that this was the main over (and) we should take on it. When Rinku (Singh) gave me the spinner, I felt like I should take on the offspinner.
"To be honest, I should thank Gautam (Gambhir) sir. He gave me a lot of confidence because he told me to believe in my bowling and when you are bowling, you should think that you are a bowler and not a batsman who can bowl. That's somehow boosted me," the 21-year-old said.

"We were just enjoying our batting. I was just telling him that it was God's plan. You just keep on hitting. Leave everyone to God. Nitish (Reddy) batted very well. It was just his second international match. It was great batting with him.
"It is my third fifty in T20Is and all of them came in the same situation. I have always come to bat when wickets have fallen and I have scored a fifty on all those occasions. So, it feels very nice," Rinku revealed.
Rinku Singh speaks on Delhi pitch
Talking about the pitch, Rinku Singh said that it was not easy to bat and he rotated the strike whenever the offspinner came to bowl. He further mentioned Suryakumar Yadav's words to be aggressive despite any situation.
"The ball was stopping a bit when we had lost three wickets. We were 40 (41) for 3. Reddy bhai also told me the same thing that the ball is stopping and play accordingly. When I hit my first four, I got some confidence. Whenever the offspinner came, I was giving him the strike. So, it was becoming easy for him to score," Rinku said.
"Whenever I have played for India, I have won every series and I also want myself to be in the team and we keep on winning. Surya bhai told everyone to be aggressive and play the natural game. We get a lot of energy after watching the seniors play," he added.
It was a great partnership between two young batters and a great sign for Indian cricket ahead. India defeated Bangladesh by 86 runs and has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
The final match of this series will be played in Hyderabad on October 12. India will be aiming to force a clean sweep and will be a favorite as well. On the other hand, Bangladesh will be looking to salvage some pride.
