The mighty Afghanistan cricket team are all set to take on Bangladesh for a one-off- test match, 3 ODIs, and 2 T20Is. Asadullah Khan has been reappointed to the chief selector post. Asadullah Khan had resigned from the post in 2021 citing interference.
Afghanistan & Bangladesh have qualified for the marquee ICC ODI World Cup 2023 but the ODIs will help the team to find the ideal combination. Bangladesh can’t afford to be complacent despite their terrific track record in home conditions.

“It has been a privilege to serve as the head of the selection committee for the esteemed Afghanistan Cricket Board. Due to personal and family commitments, I am unable to continue in this significant position,” said Noorulhaq Malikzai.

“I have requested to continue my association with ACB as a member of the committee, and I am committed to providing my utmost cooperation to Asadullah Khan and the board,” he added.

Asadullah Khan released a statement and was quite excited about the new post and said that his job is to identify talented players and to provide them with opportunities to represent the nation.
“I am honored to be entrusted with the responsibility of heading the selection committee of players, ACB is not a new organization for me as I have rich experience working for this great organization,” said Asadullah Khan.
