Bangladesh’s national cricket team is set to play a one-off Test match against Afghanistan on 14th June. The shrewd leg spinner Rashid Khan can be seen playing in a lot of franchise leagues. Rashid Khan couldn’t make an impact in the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka.
Apart from the one-off Test match, Afghanistan is due to play 3 ODIs and 2 T20Is matches. We should not forget that Afghanistan & Bangladesh have qualified for the ODI WC 2023 and would be keen to test their bench strength.

Bangladesh’s batters would be somewhat happy that Rashid isn’t playing as the spinner earlier in 2019 had created havoc by taking 11 wickets as he bowled impeccable lines & lengths.
Afghanistan side though would be disappointed after losing the ODI Series against Sri Lanka by 2-1 as the batters lacked mental application against the testing conditions as they were bundled out for 116 runs inside 23 overs which hurt the team.

Rashid Khan has played too much non-stop cricket- Afghanistan assistant coach Raees Ahmadzai
Raees Ahmadzai was having an interaction with Cricbuzz and confirmed that Rashid Khan won’t take part in the one-off Test match. The Assistant coach stated that Rashid has played a lot of non-stop cricket and the management can’t take risks with his back injury.
“Rashid Khan was rested from the lone Test match against Bangladesh as he played too much non-stop cricket and we do not want to take risk with him taking his back injury into consideration,” said Raees Ahmadzai.
