The Bangladesh team will be heading to New Zealand at the start of next year as they are scheduled to play a two-match test series as part of the World Test Championship 2021-2023. Bangladesh is currently ranked ninth in the ICC rankings for teams, and they will have a tough time facing the current World Test Championship winners.

Considering the Covid conditions and quarantines, Bangladesh will be travelling to New Zealand in the month of December. Bangladesh is coming off a poor performance in the T20 World cup 2021, where they failed to register a single win in the Super 12 stages.

The previous tour of New Zealand for Bangladesh did not go well in 2019 as they lost the three-match Test series 0-2.

Schedule For Bangladesh Tour Of New Zealand

The first test in the two-match series between Bangladesh and New Zealand will take place from January 1 to January 5 at the Bay Oval at Tauranga. The second test will follow from the 9th of January at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. There hasn’t been any information over the crowd capacity allowed for the series during the Covid times.

New Zealand will be playing a three-match T20 international series and a two-match test series against India in the subcontinent after the T20 World cup 2021 ends on the 14th of November. The Kiwis have some tight schedule coming up, and there could be a lot of big players rested for the series against Bangladesh, whose workload has to be managed.

New Zealand Reaches Maiden T20 World Cup Final

New Zealand pulled off a stunner in the semi-finals against England to make it to the finals of the T20 World Cup 2021. James Neesham‘s quickfire cameo alongside Daryl Mitchell playing the anchor role helped the Kiwis chase down a big total and have taken revenge for the final loss in the 2019 World cup.

New Zealand will play Australia in the T20 World cup final 2021 and a new title winner is assured as both teams haven’t won an ICC T20 World cup trophy so far.
