The dates and venues for the upcoming Bangladesh tour of South Africa have been revealed and it is all set to take place in March-April 2022.

On Wednesday, Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced the dates and venues for the upcoming series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team at home.

In the Bangladesh tour of South Africa 2022, the teams will be a three-match One Day International series and a two-match Test series. All the matches of the series will be played across four venues including, St. George’s Park Cricket Ground in Gqeberha, SuperSport Park in Centurion, Kingsmead in Durban and the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

“SuperSport Park, Centurion will host two of the ODI matches, with the third taken by the Wanderers, Johannesburg while the coastal cities of Durban and Gqeberha will take on the Test fixtures,” stated CSA in an official release.

Proteas team will be entering the series against Bangladesh with a lot of confidence under their belt after defeating India National Cricket Team at home in both Test and ODI series convincingly.

Bangladesh in their last Test series registered a historic win over the Black Caps in New Zealand. However, the series ended in a draw. Also, in their last ODI series, they won convincingly against Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, the two-match Test series and three-match ODI series is of great significance for both sides as both series count for crucial points in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League and the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle.
