A sting operation was conducted in which Chetan Sharma made some shocking & interesting comments about the Indian team. He made an astounding statement regarding Virat Kohli & Sourav Ganguly’s verbal spat.

Chetan Sharma’s re-appointment shocked everyone as under his tenure, India lost the T20 WC 2021 & 2022 and there were controversial selections made. In T20 WC 2021, the selection panel didn’t name their star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and then later in 2022, the shrewd spinner didn’t play a single match despite performing exceptionally well.

“I brought in the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, Shubman Gill and other 15-20 players in the team.” said Chetan Sharma.

Chetan Sharma also revealed that the selection panel is no longer interested in bringing back Rohit Sharma in the T20I format. Head Coach Rahul Dravid had said in one of his interviews that the likes of Virat & Rohit would play in the next T20 WC 2024. It looks like there is some sort of miscommunication between the management & selection panel which is concerning for the billion people & for the players.

Chetan Sharma recently received a lot of criticism for ignoring Sarfaraz Khan in Test cricket despite amassing tons of runs in the domestic circuit. It looks likely that Chetan Sharma would be sacked from the post after this sting operation. It would be interesting to see whether BCCI President Roger Binny takes any stringent action. It won’t be wrong to say that Chetan Sharma was quite biased as after Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul should have been handed captaincy given the fact that he was vice-captain.
