Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 25th match of IPL 2025 on April 11 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Chennai Super Kings have found themselves in a peculiar situation this season, with them unable to pace their innings while batting, which was evident in the last game against PBKS when the former champions failed to chase 220 runs despite being in with a chance.

KKR, on the other hand, have had a stop-start tournament with two wins from five games and are coming into the match against CSK after losing a last-over thriller against LSG at Eden Gardens, a match which saw more than 450 runs being scored in the game with both teams crossing the 200-run mark.

CSK Playing 11 vs KKR- IPL 2025, Match 25:

Openers: Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra

Devon Conway will open the innings for Chennai Super Kings along with Rachin Ravindra. The duo looked in good touch in the last match against PBKS as they formed the first fifty-run partnership for CSK this season.

If we talk about the Individual performances of Rachin and Conway, the former looked in good touch as he took on the bowlers in the powerplay but was stumped in an attempt to clear the boundary against Maxwell.

Meanwhile, Conway, who scored a half-century against PBKS, had to retire as he was unable to keep up with the scoring rate in the final five overs. The pair would like to put on a match-winning performance against KKR.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Vijay Shankar, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (wk)

The opening duo of Ravindra and Conway will be followed by captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube. Ruturaj has not yet come to the party both as a batter and as a captain in IPL 2025 and has been short of runs while batting at number three.

All-rounder Shivam Dube, who has been playing as an impact substitute for the last couple of seasons, found his mojo in the last match against PBKS as he scored runs in an aggressive manner in the middle overs. Having said that, Dube wasn't able to take the Chennai Super Kings over the line and would like to rectify that mistake against KKR.

Bowlers: Ravichandran Ashwin, Noor Ahmad, Matheesha Pathirana, Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Choudhary

Chennai Super Kings would hope their bowlers and fielders put up a better show against Kolkata, as the fielding hasn't been up to the standards that this team has set over the years, and the same story has been repeating itself in the last few matches.

As far as the bowling is concerned, CSK would hope for a better outing for the spin trio of Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Noor Ahmed to restrict KKR to a below-par total while bowling first or to defend the score posted on the board by the batters.

Although CSK have two of the top five leading wicket-takers in the tournament at their disposal, the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side has found it difficult to restrict the opposition below the score of 180 runs.
