Delhi Capitals (DC) face a must-win situation in their last four games. Their aim to resurrect their campaign starts with their next match against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The Capitals lost their previous game against the Royals in Jaipur.
Delhi Capitals are on 10 points and have three matches remaining. Winning all these three games will take them to 16 points and give them a real chance of making it to the playoffs.
It was in 2021 that DC last made it to the playoffs. It has not been a smooth ride for the Rishabh Pant-led side so far. Their season has been plagued by injuries to key players and a few others not hitting form.
Heading into this game, fitness concerns remain on David Warner and Ishant Sharma and both might miss out on playing from this game as well.
The bowling group remains key to stopping a powerhouse batting lineup like the Rajasthan Royals. DC needs to play with a different approach perhaps a much more attacking one if they are to make the playoffs.
After failing to post a competitive total against KKR due to a tactical error the DC batters need to step up and their captain has to be smart enough to take crucial calls.

Prithvi Shaw
Shaw will continue to open the batting for DC. He has been well below par this season scoring just 198 runs in 8 games at an average of 24.75. He scored 13 against KKR.
Jake Fraser-McGurk
McGurk will open the batting with Shaw. The young attacking opener needs to make the most of his chance with Warner unlikely to play the game. He has been very attacking at the top of the order.
Abishek Porel
Porel will slot in at three. He was used as an impact sub in the first half of the season but now is getting a chance in the playing XI. He scored just 18 against KKR.
Rishabh Pant (C/WK)
Pant will slot in at four. He has now scored 398 runs for the season so far in 11 games at an average of almost 45 and a strike rate touching 160. He has to play a big knock for his side.
Shai Hope
Hope will slot in at five. He is a good player of spin and needs to play well against the RR spinners Chahal and Ashwin. The absence of Warner is allowing him a place in the XI as well. He scored 41 off just 17 balls in one of his best knocks this season against MI.
Axar Patel
Axar will slot in at six. He scored 15 off 21 balls against KKR. He and Kuldeep has been good with the ball for DC. He has scored 149 runs and taken nine wickets this season so far.
Tristan Stubbs
Stubbs can slot in at seven and play the finisher's role for DC. He has been striking at almost 190 and has scored 277 runs this season so far.
Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep can bat at eight. He scored 31 against KKR which was the top score for his team in the match. With the ball, he has picked up 12 wickets in 8 games so far.
Khaleel Ahmed
Khaleel will be the first of the two Indian pacers in the XI. He went wicketless against KKR. He has taken 12 wickets in the season so far.
Lizaad Williams
Williams will be one of the two overseas pacers in the XI. He was drafted into the side as a replacement but has not made an impact so far for the Capitals. It is time now that he steps up for the side.
Anrich Nortje
Nortje concludes the likely playing XI for the side. DC should ideally play the two overseas pacers together and strengthen their bowling in the absence of David Warner.
Impact Sub: Rasikh Dar
Dar has been used as the Impact Sub by the Delhi Capitals in the last few games and it has paid off. The Jammu & Kashmir pacer has taken six wickets in the five games that he played so far.
