"Everyone Wants To See Pakistan And India Play Bilateral Series" - Mohammad Rizwan
Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan brought up the topic of the bilateral series between India and Pakistan, stating that the players from both teams and the spectators desperately want to see some action between the two sides.
Currently, the two countries have political tensions and they only play against each other in ICC tournaments. The last time the two teams met was at the T20 World Cup where Pakistan demolished India by 10 wickets.
“Everyone wants to see Pakistan and India play bilateral series or other matches but the state-level affairs are not in the hands of the players. I get the impression that players of both sides want to play regularly against each other but we can’t do anything,” Rizwan told reporters in Lahore.

Rizwan also had a stint with Indian Test batter, Cheteshwar Pujara, when the two played together for the English county side, Sussex. The Pakistani opener said that he admires the concentration levels of Pujara and has tried to learn a few things from the Indian No. 3.
“I had discussions with Pujara regarding cricket and learned a lot of things from him. We are no different as players, we are one cricketing family. Pujara is a very nice guy.”
“You learn from being with such senior players and I picked up things from Pujara mainly from the way he focuses and concentrates while batting,” Rizwan further mentioned.
Pakistan and India last played a bilateral series in January 2013 which included two T20Is and three ODIs. Since then, they’ve only played against each other in ICC tournaments.
