Riyan Parag's vaping controversy and BCCI's official inquiry on the RR skipper
Riyan Parag, of the Rajasthan Royals, has formerly indulged in activities that landed him in a major fix, but they were outside the stadium and did not come under any kind of illegality. However, this time, the youngster's carefree lifestyle might cause trouble for him as well as the franchise.
After being dismissed in the crucial game where his team was chasing a massive total, Parag, maybe out of possible anxiety, was seen vaping inside the dressing room. This led to a massive violation of the PECA Act of 2019.
The BCCI also informed that they would be conducting an internal inquiry and would be seeking an explanation from the youngster, Riyan Parag. They also reported that based on these explanations, the IPL committee would be taking its next course of action.
Anil Chaudhary warns Riyan Parag on the use of cameras that has limited personal space to only toilets
After the incident took place, large-scale implications have taken over the reputation of the skipper and his team, the Rajasthan Royals. Former Indian umpire Anil Chaudhury has now made an honest revelation on the matter.
Former Indian umpire Anil Chaudhary says, "I think it is an administrative issue, and I do not know the legal aspects, but certainly government rules and other regulations will be there."
He then further went on to add, "Sometimes these cameras can go anywhere, so all players should be very careful. These are young lads; they do not know that sometimes they can be caught anywhere except the toilet, so boys should be careful."
Lastly, he exclaimed that TV should feature pure entertainment and everyone should be discussing the game rather than speaking about other things that are not directly related to the game.
Riyan Parag's poor batting form continues despite amelioration in captaincy
Riyan Parag's form in IPL 2026 has been a massive concern for the Rajasthan Royals. The skipper has just amassed 119 runs across 8 games of the season, with a not out on only one of these occasions.
Also, Parag has not managed to play a single 30+ innings in this edition of the competition and has failed to deliver for his team when they needed him to fire at times. He struggled to maintain the pace of the innings during the first innings and has not backed RR's chasing of totals in the second.
However, on the absolute contrary, his form as the captain of the RR side has been very impressive. Having led them in 9 games this season, he has won six matches and is currently placed third on the points table with 12 points and is only a handful of wins away from sealing a spot in the playoffs.
