Former Indian Pacer Sreesanth To Play The Lead Role In A Bollywood Movie

The former Indian pacer from Kerala, Sreesanth who was one of the stars in the 2007 T20 World Cup win and 2011 World Cup triumph is likely to act in a Bollywood movie named Patta. This will be the fifth movie of Sreesanth who has been out of cricket action for a long time and recently made a comeback into the domestic circuit.

He was involved in a match-fixing allegation in 2013 and was banned for life from playing by the BCCI. His ban was lifted last year and was allowed to take part in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy for Kerala. The 38-year-old still had the zip in his bowling but was overlooked in the IPL Auction despite his performances.

Sreesanth’s Personal Achievements With The Indian Team

Sreesanth came into the scene in international cricket for the first time in 2005 and made his ODI debut in the series against Sri Lanka. He had the pace and aggression to be very successful and hit the hard lengths for the batsmen which made him very impressive. He soon made his debut in all the formats and became a crucial member of the Indian bowling attack.

He played 53 One Day Internationals picking up 75 wickets at an average of 33.44 and picked up one five-wicket haul in his innings. He also played 27 tests picking up 87 wickets at an average of 37.5 with three five-wicket hauls. He always had the hunger in him to be the match-winner for India and he played both the finals of the T20 Worldcup 2007 win and the 2011 Worldcup win.

Sreesanth’s Signs New Bollywood Movie

Sreesanth signed a new Bollywood movie named “Patta” recently and he is expected to play the role of a CBI officer in the movie. The movie is produced by Nirup Gupta under the banner of NNG Film and Prakash Kutty will be the cinematographer while Suresh Urs will be the editor of the movie. Also, the movie is set to include a lot of dance and music and is expected to be a blockbuster.

The Kerala pacer will be looking to make a comeback into the IPL next year with some strong performances in domestic cricket.
