India coach Gautam Gambhir faced the biggest humiliation of his life, as fans chanted "Gautam Gambhir haye haye" to slander the prestige of the Indian coach after considering him the root cause of India's losses in Test cricket.
Gautam Gambhir has been considered a villain since India's performance in the longest format of the game has faced a massive slump. Ever since he has taken over, India has lost home Tests, overseas tours, as well as their spot in the WTC top two.
"Gautam Gambhir haye haye" Indian fans disrespectfully hoot against the Indian coach in Guwahati
From being one of India's most beloved coaches while being in the Kolkata Knight Riders camp to being hooted with harsh remarks after India's recent losses, Gautam Gambhir has faced it all.
First of all, the Indian fans had never believed his ways or his policies, as soon after his appointment, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the two legends, retired from the longest format of the game, and the blame for that was put upon the KKR mentor.
After losing the second Test at Guwahati, fans were disgusted with Gautam Gambhir's leadership and hooted "Gautam Gambhir Haye Haye", which marked the scariest day for Indian cricket.

India drop to 5 in the WTC, falls behind Pakistan and Sri Lanka
India had several chances to make it to their third consecutive WTC Final in 2025, when Gautam Gambhir took over the team in 2024. However, they lost the series against New Zealand by a humiliating margin, and then the BGT loss kicked India out of the race for the WTC Finals.
After the first season, Gambhir arrived in the second WTC season and lost two games during India's tour of England. The two more losses against South Africa have now landed them in a major fix, as it would be tougher for the Men in Blue to bounce back from this position.
After their recent loss, they have been demoted to number 5 in the WTC points table, even behind Pakistan and Sri Lanka, who are not even considered among the best teams in the red-ball format. This is due to having a lower PCT than the two teams mentioned.
Another battle awaits Gambhir in the South Africa ODIs
Indian cricket fans have been proving why Cricket is more than just a game; it's a matter of passion and aggression. Indian fans are known to shower love on their cricketers whenever they have made them proud, but now they are also getting back at them for the humiliation caused due to losses.
Gautam Gambhir's next big project would be the South Africa ODI series. This is a challenge, as India will have to play without Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and Axar Patel, who have been rested from the series and have been replaced by many new players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
