He's Got Really Good Pace And Beautiful Bounce - Brett Lee On Shaheen Afridi

Former Australian pacer Brett Lee has his eyes firmly set on Pakistan pacer, Shaheen Afridi, stating that he is a big fan of the tall and fast youngster.

Afridi has become Pakistan’s go-to bowler in all three formats, constantly being the wicket-taker with his fast and pacy deliveries. Lee also spoke about the skipper, Babar Azam, who probably has the best cover drive in world cricket, according to him.

“Shaheen Afridi is an amazing bowler, he’s got a really good pace, he’s tall, gets a beautiful bounce. I am a big fan of him. Babar has an amazing technique and he could have the best cover drive in world cricket,” Lee told Shoaib Akhtar on his YouTube channel.

Brett Lee also insisted that Pakistan has a good structure now and can develop into a strong team, once they have the belief in themselves. Pakistan recently showed their prowess in the T20 World Cup where they went undefeated before losing to eventual champions, Australia.

“They have the right team and structure but deep down they probably don’t believe they are as good as what they can be. I want Pakistan cricket to have belief in themselves and instillment of energy amongst their teammates. I want the young Pakistani players to come through to back themselves because they could be anything,” Lee added.
