If Jasprit Bumrah Can Play, He Will Play The Final Test: Vikram Rathour

India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour has said that the Indian team management is keen on Jasprit Bumrah playing the final Test for India at the Gabba, Brisbane. Notably, there were reports in the media stating that the BCCI does not want to risk Jasprit Bumrah for the England series after he complained of an abdominal strain after the third Test.
The Indian cricket team has been dealing with a lot of injuries ever since the Australian tour began. First up, Ishant Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were ruled out of the series seven before the squad announcement was done. During the tour, a lot of Indian players suffered injury blows including Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, Hanuma Vihari.

Star Indian pacer, Jasprit Bumrah had also complained of an abdominal strain ahead of the fourth Test at Brisbane. There were reports of the BCCI not intending to risk him for the England series.
As reported by news agency ANI, Rathour stated that the fast bowler is working closely with the medical team. A call on his participation in the fourth Test will be taken on Friday morning.
“The medical team is working with Bumrah, we have to see tomorrow morning whether he is fit to play the fourth Test or not. If he can play, he will play, if he cannot, then he won’t,” ANI quoted Rathour as saying.

“The injuries are still being monitored. Our medical staff is looking into it, I would not be in a position to comment on this right now. We would like to give them as much time as possible. It will be tomorrow morning that you will know which eleven takes the field,” Rathour added.
Australia Announce Their Squad For The Final Test
The Indian Cricket Team is all set to take on Australia in the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy from January 15 at the Gabba, Brisbane. Australia have all but declared their team for the final Test. Australian opener Will Pucovski has been ruled out of the final Test and Marcus Harris has replaced him the final eleven, who will open alongside David Warner for the Kangaroos.

It will be interesting to see as to how the Indian Cricket Team scripts a comeback in the final Test of the series with a majority of their star players out of the final squad due to injury blows.
