India National Cricket Team reportedly dropped a massive hint about their playing XI for the first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team during their training session. The first game of the Test series between the teams is set to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from Thursday (19th September).

India have been putting in the hard yards to prepare for the Test series against Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The Rohit Sharma-led side are undergoing net sessions at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, and an intense session unfolded on Monday (16th September).

The practice session on Monday (16th September) also gave a hint about the playing XI of the Indian Team for the first Test. It was Virat Kohli, who was among the first set of batsmen to enter the nets. The batter was seen accompanied by Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was batting in adjacent nets.

Both the players were seen facing Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin. The duo taking the nets early on, along with two bowlers, clearly depicts that they all will be featuring in the team for the first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, which will begin in a couple of days.

After Kohli and Jaiswal, skipper Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Sarfaraz Khan took their turns in the nets. The trio batted together in the three nets. The captain was seen playing the spinners mostly as he would be keeping in mind the spin attack of the Bangladesh team.

Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav likely to be India's three spinners

Sarfaraz Khan joined the team recently as well. He didn't join the team along with other members on 12th September as he was asked by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to play in the second round of the Duleep Trophy 2024 for the India B team.

Apart from them, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant, and pacer Mohammed Siraj also were seen working on their batting in the nets ahead of the first Test. They faced local bowlers along with the throw downs, working on their skills.

Based on what the net sessions unfolded on Monday (16th September), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav are likely to be the three spinners in the team for the first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, as per TOI. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj will be the two front-line pacers in the team.

With Ashwin, Jadeja, and Kuldeep being three spinners, Axar Patel might sit out. In terms of batting, Rishabh Pant will be making his comeback to the team. He is expected to walk straight into the XI. This means Dhruv Jurel is likely to be benched for the first Test against Bangladesh.

There were reports which claimed that India are unlikely to prepare rank turner for the first Test against Chennai. They want both their premier pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, to play, and it is learned that the pitch at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai is likely to produce help for pace bowlers and spinners both.
