Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were engaged in an animated conversation during the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 game against New Zealand. The two undefeated teams of the tournament are up against each other in match 21 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. 

India won the toss and opted to field first. They were right on the money with the new ball as they removed both the openers early and were in the front seat. However, after that, Rachin Ravindra (75) and Daryl Mitchell put Men in Blue under immense pressure as they batted well. 

When they were batting, it didn’t seem that India had any answers to the onslaught by them. This made captain Rohit Sharma think a lot and change his tactics as well. He also was seen asking for suggestions from former skipper Virat Kohli. 

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were seen having a lengthy discussion which seemed more like an argument. They both potentially were discussing the field placements and it looked like that aren’t on the same page and hence the conversations extended.

India however, pulled things back slightly, and after the partnership by Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell, they picked quick wickets and made sure that they kept themselves in the game. The game hangs evenly poised as Kiwis too aren’t leaving the things easily.

He’s expected to play a big role and give another blistering start to the team.
